SapuraKencana adds $700m in new contracts

Kuala Lumpur: SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad has announced that its wholly-owned drilling subsidiaries have been awarded three new contracts and a contract extension valued at close to $700m.

Petcon (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has been awarded two contracts by Petronas Carigali for the provision of two drilling rigs, one rig for a period of five years with an option for two more and the other for three years with an option for two more.

SapuraKencana Drilling Asia Limited has been awarded a contract by Chevron for the provision of an offshore drilling rig and services for its offshore development drilling campaign in Thailand for a period of five years.

(B) Contract Extension

Meanwhile, Seadrill Jaya Ltd has accepted a one year extension to its contract with BP for the provision of offshore drilling rig and services for its offshore development drilling campaign in Trinidad & Tobago.
