Kuala Lumpur: Hong Kong-listed Honghua Group announced that its subsidiary Honghua Offshore has entered into a contract with a subsidiary of Malaysian offshore service provider, Jas Marine for the construction of a semi-submersible mobile offshore drilling unit plus options to order three more.

Jas Marine will contract Opus Offshore to supervise the construction of the rig.

The price for the rig is $320m and it will be built at the company’s Qidong facility in Jiangsu.
