Singapore: Japanese shipping major Mitsui OSK Lines has formed another shipmanagement company in Singapore. The company is a joint venture with Chennai-based Synergy Group. MOL Synergy has already started managing five MOL-operated vessels. It has also established a crew training centre.

“The MOL Group will create new ship management and crew training businesses by integrating the marine technical knowhow accumulated over 130 years of vessel operation with Synergy Group's growing ship management methods. These new businesses will be competitive in both quality and cost, and will offer additional value-added services to their customers,” MOL said in a release.  [17/10/14]
