Jakarta: Investigations continue into the shipyard accident on Friday evening that claimed the lives of three workers. Three men died at PT Bandar Abadi shipyard on Batam when when a ship that was being repaired, exploded on Friday evening.

The workers were cleaning the ship using sandblasters and welding a pipe in a basement cabin, which led to the explosion of an LPG canister.

A further 18 people were injured and taken to hospital.  [01/09/14]
